Blowing the Orange Order dog whistle is\na dangerous precedent set by Ruth Davidson in 2017. This is importing\na hardline Unionist attitude from Northern Ireland into modern\nScottish mainstream politics. It does not bode well for anyone. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those days of\nreligious hegemony have gone. Such prejudice plays no part in today\u2019s\nScotland and brings shame on SNP opponents who stir this up at their\nperil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Scotland still has a sectarian problem\nto solve but Tories actively playing the Orange card does nothing to\nsort this.
